01Our Philosophy: Zero Spyware, Zero Adware

At BrowserTopia, we believe games should be about adventure, creativity, and multiplayer fun—not surveillance capitalism. We collect only the absolute minimum data required to authenticate your account, synchronize world blocks, and persist your in-game items across sessions.

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to ad brokers, marketing affiliates, or behavioral profiling agencies. Period.

02Information We Collect

We process the following categories of information when you interact with the game:

Account Credentials: Your chosen player username, email address, and a cryptographically salted password hash. We never store raw passwords.
Game State & Progression: Your inventory contents, placed blocks, crafted recipes, unlockable cosmetics, and current character coordinates inside sandbox worlds.
Technical Network Metadata: Temporary IP address and WebSocket connection headers used exclusively for DDoS mitigation, rate-limiting, and packet anti-tampering.

03Information We Will NEVER Collect

Because of our name "BrowserTopia", some people mistakenly wonder if we inspect their web browsing. We do not.

Things BrowserTopia Never Touches:

Your browser history, bookmarks, or other open browser tabs.
Your local files, system drives, or clipboard contents.
Biometric data, contacts, webcam, or microphone feeds.
Invasive kernel-level background ring-0 anti-cheat drivers.

04Data Security & Storage

All traffic between your browser client and the game servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 and Secure WebSockets (WSS). Backend databases enforce role-based access control (RBAC), ensuring that game masters and developers cannot access player authentication secrets.

05Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of your geographic location, you retain full sovereignty over your personal data:

Right of Access: You may request an export of all data tied to your player account.
Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request permanent deletion of your account, player records, and associated transaction logs.
Right to Rectification: You may correct your account details at any time via your player profile settings.
